Best Builds (Weapons, Curses, & Tarot Cards) in Cult of the Lamb

Having trouble killing enemies on your Crusades in Cult of the Lamb? Just can’t beat annoying bosses like Kallamar? Well, maybe you’re just approaching your runs in the wrong way. Maybe you just need a better combo of weapons, Curses, and tarot cards. Here is everything you need to know about the best builds in Cult of the Lamb.

Best Speed Build in Cult of the Lamb

cult of the lamb speed build

Speed is the name of the game in Cult of the Lamb, as just about every boss is vulnerable to a build that is built around quickness due to how often they have delays before and after their attacks. So what is the best weapon to pick for this?

Well, just about any Dagger will do, as they are all about quick attacks and speed. Personally, I like to use the Bane Dagger or Traitor’s Razor

The Bane Dagger deals poison, while the Traitor’s Razor is the fastest weapon in the game. The former deals a bunch of small, extra damage that really adds up over time, while the latter focuses on quantity over quality, which also does its fair share of damage as the fight goes on.

In terms of what curses to use, I always find that having something that’ll either knock enemies back or protect you entirely from damage while you’re wailing on bosses is super helpful. As such, Curses like Devine Guardian (2 seconds of Invincibility & Deflection) and Divine Blight (Knock back and poisons) are solid choices.

It’s also hard to go wrong with any of the tentacle-based Curses either, so if you’ve got the chance to get Touch of Turua, Malestrom, or Touch of Mariner, then, by all means, pick them up.

Best Power Build in Cult of the Lamb

If you’re all about doing as much damage as physically possible in one hit, then the Godly Hammer is going to be your go to in Cult of the Lamb. This big ol’ weapon does significantly more damage than other weapons, and it even paints a target on the ground where you’ll hit to help you out with some accuracy.

The one drawback is that it takes forever to swing. That means that you’ll need to time when you’re going to attack perfectly or else you’ll be caught up in someone else’s attack while trying to land your own. If you do manage to land your attack, the area of effect on the swing is pretty far-reaching, especially when you have bigger enemies or bosses to aim at, like Heket.

When it comes to what the best Curse combo is to use for this power build, it’s hard to go wrong with Death’s Squall. This Curse is a melee attack that also doubles as a stun, as it freezes enemies when hit, unless they are one of the main bosses.

On top of the extra damage this curse does, freezing an enemy in place is obviously ideal when you’re using Godly Hammer, as it means they’ve got nowhere to run, so you can take all the time in the world to swing.
