This time around you’ll be able to encounter some rare Pokemon more often in the wild like Gabite and Helioptile as well as the region-exclusive Pansear. Here’s everything you need to know about the Pokemon GO 2024 Anniversary event quest steps, research tasks, and rewards.

Pokemon GO Anniversary Event 2024: All Quest Steps, Research Tasks & Rewards

This Timed Research event will be gone in a flash, so you’ll have to work quickly in order to get the Pansear and Wash Rotom encounters contained within. Down below is a full list of each Research task, all of the steps, and the completion rewards for the Pokemon GO 2024 Anniversary Event. Players have until July 12 at 8 PM local time to complete each step.

Anniversary Event Research (1/6)

• Catch 15 Pokemon
• Catch five different species of Pokemon
• Make five Nice Throws
• Make three Great Throws
• Make five Curveball Throws
• Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokemon
• Step completion rewards:
  • Cake Hat Pikachu encounter
  • One Poffin

Anniversary Event Research (2/6)

• Play with your Buddy
• Give your Buddy a treat
• Take a snapshot of your Buddy
• Battle another Trainer with your Buddy Pokemon while it’s adventuring with you
• Earn five Hearts with your Buddy
• Earn a Candy exploring with your Buddy
• Step completion rewards:
  • Party Hat Charmander encounter
  • 2500 Stardust

Anniversary Event Research (3/6)

• Take five snapshots of wild Pokemon
• Take a snapshot of Charmander
• Take a snapshot of your Buddy
• Take snapshots of five different Pokemon
• Take a snapshot of a Normal-type Pokemon
• Take snapshots of three different wild Fire-, Water-, or Grass-type Pokemon
• Step completion rewards:

Anniversary Event Research (4/6)

• Spin five PokeStops or Gyms
• Hatch an Egg
  • Three Golden Razz Berries
• Walk two km
  • Three Silver Pinap Berries
• Earn a Candy exploring with your Buddy
• Complete five Field Research Tasks
• Battle in a Gym three times
• Step completion rewards:
  • Gible encounter
  • 1 Premium Battle Pass

Anniversary Event Research (5/6)

• Send five Gifts to friends
• Send five Gifts and add a Sticker to each
• Transfer 15 Pokemon
• Battle in two Raids
• Win a level one or higher Raid
• Pokemon up Pokemon 10 times
