Alex Telles Net Worth, Real Name, Birthday, Biography, Age, Family Facts & Life Story

Alex Telles is a member of the clan of Corfu and is a descendent of the ancient House of Telles. He is the illegitimate son of Isabella, Countess of Galvani, and brother to Pedro, cousin to Bartolome. Alex Telles was supposedly born in 1499 at the court of Santa Maria de Gracia in Spain. However, the true birth place is unknown. Alex Telles family was said to be involved in the taking of half of the wealth of the region from the previous King with whom Alex Telles was very close. Alex Telles was not a main heir of the throne, but his name was put forward as a contender for the throne who was actually staked to be the next to succeed from brother Bartolome to cousin to princess Isabella.

Alex Telles was not well educated in law or in the history of law and probably had little knowledge of banking or finance. Alex Telles family had no large estate but had accumulated some small holdings. This small holding may have been combined with other properties and accumulated enough wealth to enable Alex Telles to marry Isabella Cortez de Menes de Granada – who was the mother of King Fernando III. In return for the marriage Alex Telles was given another estate in Granada by the Cortez family, this time without any obligation to the crown.

When Alex Telles died in 1512 he was buried with all the trappings of a king and his several official titles. The family were annoyed that their most beloved son had been buried with so little respect. They took Alex Telles’ wealth to provide for his funeral and sent for his two half brothers to take care of Alex Telles’ estates. Although the estates were ultimately not touched, the family never forgave Alex Telles for leaving them during his lifetime.

Alex Telles would also have an impact on Spain’s financial status. As King, Spain had numerous large landed estates. He was able to use his position of power to secure contracts for these lands, which in turn allowed Spanish authorities to build massive monuments including the Alhambra and the cathedral in Toledo.

Alex Telles was born into a middle-class family of landed property owners. This background seems to have influenced Alex Telles in his financial pursuits. A noted character in Alex Telles’ writings is Ignacio Saramoy, the wealthy owner of the last supper. Saramoy was a Spanish land owner who amassed a fortune during the Industrial Revolution in Spain. The similarities between Alex Telles and Saramoy are striking, and if Alex Telles had the backing of a financial wizard, he may well have achieved a lot more in his lifetime.
