Because the Olympic fencer has kept his personal life so private, it’s impossible to say if he’s single or married. Three women have accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior. The incidents occurred between 2013 and 2015. At least two of the women had known Alen while they were both fencers at Columbia University. Alen Hadzic’s Professional Career
In 2021, he won the gold medal at the May North American Cup. (This is Division I.) In 2019, he took silver in the January North American Cup (Division I) and bronze in the Division I National Championships. He took a year off from the sport after failing to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games to pursue a master’s degree in innovation and entrepreneurship at Vlerick Business School in Leuven, Belgium.
He worked as a consultant in Belgium before opting to become a full-time athlete and focus on earning a position on the US Olympic team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Alen was qualified to compete for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committees. He was a last-minute addition to the Olympic men’s epee squad in 2021. Hadzic was temporarily forbidden from competing in fencing contests by the US Center for SafeSport on June 2.
Suspension
He had already been suspended from Columbia for the 2013-14 academic year as a result of a Title IX investigation into sexual consent. Alen Hadzinas was temporarily barred from competing in the Olympics after being accused of sexual misconduct by three different women. He was released from his ban last month. He was allowed to join the United States Olympic fencing team and compete in Tokyo. His activities in Tokyo, however, are currently banned by USA Fencing.
Hadzic is not permitted to stay with the team at the Olympic Village. He is welcome to stay in a hotel near the Olympic Village. Hadzic is also not allowed to leave the hotel where he is staying when not playing or training. A number of teammates have agreed to remove him from the game. According to his lawyer, some of his female teammates do not want to play with him. Hadzic, on the other hand, has maintained that the allegations are false and without substance, and he has expressed his displeasure with the Olympics.
